Proshop POS

Essentially Proshop Point Of Sale is a POS system which is independent of the Club’s POS database but which is ‘linked’ to the Club system in a number of ways.

It is designed to be installed in a Club that is already running PowerGolf POS in the F&B outlets, but where the Proshop is an independent business run by the Pro.

  • Using Proshop POS, the Pro can sell his own merchandise and the Club’s green fees through a single POS system. The Pro’s business remains private, but the Club gains direct access to the trading data for their own products on a daily basis.

  • It allows the Pro’s to run a separate retail operation with no representation of this in the Club’s data. Confidentiality regarding the Pro’s business is maintained

  • The Pro can sell green fees and other products on behalf of the Club. These sales are posted to the Club’s POS system and appear in the Club’s sales reports as if posted through a Club-owned POS unit.

  • If member’s are permitted, they can charge the purchase of Club-owned products to their house accounts in the Club’s membership database.

  • While the Pro can maintain an independent Debtors’ ledger and offer charge accounts to the members, these accounts can, if required, be transferred to the Club’s Membership ledger and incorporated into the Club’s monthly House account statement for each member. A member gets a single statement for all purchases from outlets at the Club including the Club’s F&B facilities and the independent Proshop.

  • Under this system, the Pro might collect cash on behalf of the Club, and the Club might receive account payments on behalf of the Pro. The system provides reconciliation reports detailing all remittances that are required between the Pro Shop and the Club.

Note that, while called ‘Proshop POS’, the system can also be used where the Club has independent caterers, but wishes to offer house account facilities for the food sales. It allows the caterers to run an independent POS system for their business, but process e.g. liquor sales on behalf of the Club and charge members’ house accounts.
