About us...
The
business conducted by MicroPower Pty Ltd was
established in May, 1984 operating as Software
developers and dealers for Apple and NEC micro-computers.
Since the
late 80's, the company has focused on software
development for DOS and Windows computers,
and over the past 18 years, several major
products have been developed including a school
library system that was widely used in Victoria.
The company also developed many customised
software solutions for individual companies
in a range of industries.
The most
successful product, however, was PowerGolf,
a Club
management system developed specifically
for the Golf industry. PowerGolf
was first launched in 1987, and in a short
time, was being used by Clubs through Australia.
With the re-development of the system under
Windows in the mid-to-late 90's, PowerGolf
steadily became the most widely used large-Club
system in the Country.

MicroPower
also uses the services of a number of Contract
Programmers and a number of casual staff
for documentation, etc.
With the
success of PowerGolf, MicroPower took the
decision to devote its development resources
to this product, and sold off its other products.
Since then, MicroPower has focused on the
Club market almost exclusively. With the addition
of the more general Club system, PowerClub,
to its product range, MicroPower's position
as the market leader is further enhanced.
More recently,
MicroPower has moved into Internet programming
and Web site design and hosting.
MicroPower
is able to cater for the requirements of its
clients by providing highly configurable software
which can be tailored to meet their individual
needs. MicroPower has a reputation for providing
first class solutions and support. We provide
total solutions, and can provide services
including systems analysis, design and implementation,
general computer consultancy, staff training,
off-the-shelf software sales, consumables,
and hardware sales and service.
The company
is wholly owned and operated by the directors.
